Accelerometer and Filter
Filters are one of the fundamental elements of modern digital signal processing technologies.
In the digital era, digital filters play a vital role in almost all electronic devices. Thus it is beneficial to have a hands-on experience with digital filters. The high sampling rate of SensorStick can offer such an opportunity, users can easily play with different real-time digital filters and compare their performance.
In this application, users can compare the raw accelerometer data, moving average, frequency spectrum and filtered data. Notice that the moving average is a simplest low pass filter, but it is surprisingly effective in removing random noise. Other digital filters we offer here include low pass filter, high pass filter and band pass filter.
